Once again the shop boys ventured up north to Gloucester for that natural phenomenomenom that is the severn bore. With record distances in mind, they grapped the longest boards they could find, strong black coffee and a lad they call ‘big hair’ to drive and shipped out for the river. With the first couple of spots proving fickle, the lads were crossing fingers for something better at spot 3 and they werent dissapointed! ”The wave came round the corner and to our surprise, not only was it a good 3-4ft and peeling but pro surfer, Russ Winter was on it and absolutely shredding it !” Said Allan after the long walk back. “I managed to get some good footage on the go pro but tom was the man of the day, making a distance of at least a mile and a half. Long walk back though!” To rub salt into the wound, tom (a bodyboarder we hasten to add) not only out did Allan’s distance, but made it on to bbc local news!
